Overview

Bike Hills is presented here as a compact product case study, separated from its legal/privacy text so the game itself can be shown more clearly.

Bike Hills - Uphill Adventure

Problem

Arcade-style mobile games need straightforward controls and an immediately understandable gameplay loop to remain accessible and replayable.

My role

I contributed to the game as both developer and project lead, focusing on gameplay structure, release preparation, and presentation of the finished product.

Key features

  • Physics-based uphill terrain play
  • Simple brake and acceleration control model
  • Obstacle handling and timing-based challenge
  • Short-session, replay-friendly game structure

Engineering challenges

  • Keeping gameplay readable on mobile screens
  • Balancing simple controls with enough challenge to remain engaging
  • Separating product presentation from required legal text

Outcome and learning

  • Published a game with a clearer product story than the earlier portfolio version
  • Improved how the game is documented through a dedicated case-study structure
  • Preserved the privacy-policy requirement without diluting the portfolio page
